Vintage/Antique Old Gourd String Wood Mystery Folk or Native American Instrument

I don't know what these are but they were from an estate sale, look old, and were sold as some sort of a musical instrument. The long thing is made of part of a gourd, has a handle for swinging,  and has faint writing on one side.  The bow has a twisted piece of plastic improvised where the original was. The other pieces are mostly wood but have metal ribs at one end with a holes at the ends like something should go there. There is something that looks like a survey weight of wood. Not sure if all this stuff really belongs together but that is how it came. the gourd thing measures about 27" long for scale.
Great for man-cave or decor, or maybe they can be used?
