    Bamboo Magazine Rack / Canterbury
    circa 1950s
    VG overall condition with no wood loss. Some age-related color/stain especially to the end pieces.

    very much in the
    Mid Century Modern
    and
    Tiki
    design. The piece is made completely from bamboo, including woven vertical strips on the sides, as shown. Everything but the side pieces are painted/stained in a dark brown color resembling mahogany. The center sections are left uncolored. Note that there is some stain loss especialy on the strapping that holds the main parts together, and this all looks like it's age-related.
    I found no wood loss on the piece, and the construction is very tight, and sits square on the floor.
