On May 21, 2021, the Milwaukee Brewers visited the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Adrian Houser started for the Brewers, while Jeff Hoffman went for the Reds. In the top of the sixth, Amir Garrett was on the mound. Omar Narvaez led off. GARRETT HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 94.2 four-seam fastball for a called strike. (Yes, that means Tucker Barnhart also touched this ball!!) Garrett came back with an 84.3 mph slider, and NARVAEZ SMACKED THIS BALL TO JONATHAN INDIA, WHO THREW OVER TO TYLER STEPHENSON TO GET NARVAEZ!! This ball was then retired. The Brewers ended up losing the game 9-4, getting hits only from Tyrone Taylor, Lorenzo Cain, Daniel Vogelbach, Jackie Bradley, Jr., and Luis Urias. (Kolten Wong, Christian Yelich, Narvaez, Travis Shaw, Daniel Robertson, and Billy McKinney all went hitless.) This ball is MLB Authenticated for both pitches by Garrett to Narvaez, including Narvaez’s ground out to India, who threw over to Stephenson. Please note that this ball does not come with a case.
