    Description

MLB Authenticated - Shogo Akiyama vs Tyler Webb Game-Used Baseball. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On September 1, 2020, the St. Louis Cardinals visited the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Sonny Gray started for the Reds, while Kwang Hyun Kim went for the Cardinals. In the bottom of the seventh, Tyler Webb was on the mound for the Cardinals. Aristides Aquino popped out to Kolten Wong. Jose Garcia singled. Shogo Akiyama then came to bat. On the second pitch, WEBB HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 90.4 mph four-seam fastball, and AKIYAMA FOULED OFF THIS BALL!! This ball was then retired. Akiyama eventually grounded into a fielder’s choice. Curt Casali singled to Tyler O’Neill. Tucker Barnhart walked, but Brian Goodwin struck out to end the inning. The Reds also got hits from Joey Votto and Eugenio Suarez but lost 16-2. (Nicholas Castellanos went hitless.) (The Cardinals got hits from Wong, Tommy Edman, Paul Goldschmidt, Andrew Knizner, Brad Miller, Paul DeJong, Yadier Molina, Matt Carpenter, Dexter Fowler, O’Neill, and Lane Thomas.) This ball is MLB Authenticated for Akiyama’s foul off Webb. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
