    Description

MLB Authenticated - Shogo Akiyama Duel With Chad Kuhl Game-Used Ball. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On August 14, 2020, the Pittsburgh Pirates visited the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Chad Kuhl started for the Pirates, while Sonny Gray took the mound for the Reds. In the bottom of the fifth, Shogo Akiyama came to bat. Kuhl HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! On the first pitch, Kuhl threw a changeup for a ball. He then threw a sinker with this ball for a called strike. Kuhl followed that with a slider that Akiyama swung at and missed. Kuhl threw two more sinkers for balls. On the sixth pitch with this ball, Kuhl threw a slider that Akiyama fouled off. This ball was then retired. (Akiyama flew out on the next pitch to end the inning.) The Reds went on to win 8-1 behind hits by Akiyama, Nicholas Castellanos, Joey Votto, Jesse Winker, Josh VanMeter, Freddy Galvis, Tucker Barnhart, and Kyle Farmer. (Only Nick Senzel went hitless.) This ball is MLB Authenticated for all six pitches, including Akiyama’s foul. [Please note that this ball does not come with a case.] Thank you for purchasing!!
