    Description

MLB Authenticated - Logan Forsythe HOME RUN (71st Of Career) Off David Peterson. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On August 8, 2020, the Miami Marlins visited the New York Mets at Citi Field. Daniel Castano started for the Marlins, while David Peterson was on the mound for the Mets. It was Peterson’s third MLB start on his first start at Citi Field!! In the top of the fifth, Logan Forsythe led off against Peterson. On the second pitch, Peterson HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a changeup for a called strike. (Yes, that means Wilson Ramos also touched this ball!) On the next pitch, Peterson threw a sinker, and FORSYTHE TORCHED THIS BALL 410 FEET TO DEEP CF (nearly hitting the M&M’s sign!) FOR HIS ONLY HOME RUN OF 2020 (his first as a Marlin and, by my count, the 71st of his career). It was also the SECOND HOME RUN GIVEN UP BY PETERSON IN HIS MLB CAREER AND THE FIRST HOME RUN PETERSON EVER GAVE UP AT CITI FIELD!! The Marlins fell to the Mets 8-4 despite hits from Jesus Aguilar, Corey Dickerson, Brian Anderson, Monte Harrison, and, of course, Forsythe. (Jonathan Villar, Jon Berti, Francisco Cervelli, and Lewis Brinson went hitless. Meanwhile, the Mets got home runs from Michael Conforto, Pete Alonso, and JD Davis, not to mention hits from Amed Rosario, Jeff McNeil, and Dominic Smith.) This ball is MLB Authenticated for both pitches from Peterson to Forsythe, including Forsythe’s home run. Please note this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
