    Description

MLB Authenticated - Anthony Rizzo Single & Patrick Wisdom Foul off Ryan Weathers. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
On June 7, 2021, the Chicago Cubs visited the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. Adbert Alzolay started for the Cubs, while Ryan Weathers went for the Padres. Willson Contreras led off the game by striking out. Kris Bryant grounded out to Jake Cronenworth. Anthony Rizzo then walked to the plate. WEATHERS HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 94.6 mph four-seamer for a called strike. (Yes, that means Victor Caratini also touched this ball!!) Weathers then threw another fastball for a ball. On the third pitch, Weathers threw a 94.8 mph sinker, and RIZZO RIPPED THIS BALL 109.6 MPH TO JURICKSON PROFAR IN LEFT-CENTERFIELD FOR A SINGLE!! (I cannot tell from the replay whether Profar threw this ball into Fernando Tatis Jr. or Cronenworth, but one of them likely touched this ball too!) Weathers got this ball back. Patrick Wisdom came to bat. Weathers threw an 88.1 mph slider, and WISDOM FOULED THIS BALL STRAIGHT BACK TO THE BACKSTOP!! This ball was then retired. Wisdom eventually struck out to end the half inning. The Cubs ended up losing 9-4 despite hits from Bryant, Rizzo, Jake Marisnick, Ian Happ, and Eric Sogard. (The Padres got hits from Tommy Pham, Manny Machado, Cronenworth, Eric Hosmer, Brian O’Grady, and Caratini.) This ball is MLB Authenticated for Rizzo’s single to Profar off Weathers and Wisdom’s foul off Weathers. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
