On May 20, 2021, the San Francisco Giants visited the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Johnny Cueto started for the Giants, while Tyler Mahle Went for the Reds. In the bottom of the third, Alex Blandino led off. He battled Cueto for 10 pitches. On the eleventh pitch, CUETO HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 94.8 mph four-seam fastball, and BLANDINO BLASTED THIS BALL 346 FEET IN THE GAP, WHERE MIKE YASTRZEMSKI GRABBED IT BUT NOT BEFORE BLANDINO HAD A STANDUP DOUBLE — HIS FOURTH DOUBLE OF THE SEASON!! (The replay shows that Yastrzemski threw this ball to Mauricio Dubon, who threw it to Brandon Crawford.) This ball was then retired. Ryan Hendrix then grounded out to Evan Longoria, and Jesse Winker grounded out to Dubon. Nicholas Castellanos scored Blandino on a single to Steven Duggar. Tyler Stephenson doubled to center. But Tyler Naquin ended the inning by striking out. The Reds also got hits from Max Schrock, Eugenio Suarez, Kyle Farmer, Jonathan India, and Mark Payton but lost the game 19-4. This ball is MLB Authenticated for Blandino’s double to Yastrzemski off Cueto. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
