Kemp moved to third. Alexander got this ball back. Jed Lowrie came to bat. Alexander’s first pitch to Lowrie was a ball. On the second, Alexander threw four-seamer, and LOWRIE SMACKED THIS BALL 108.1 mph TO NIKO GOODRUM FOR AN RBI SINGLE SCORING KEMP — LOWRIE’S SIXTH GAME IN A ROW WITH AN RBI!! Alexander got this ball back again. Ramon Laureano was up. LAUREANO HIT THIS BALL TO RENATO NUNEZ WHO THREW OVER TO WILLI CASTRO ON A FIELDER’S CHOICE!! But wait, there’s more!! Alexander got this ball back AGAIN!! Matt Chapman came to bat. Alexander threw two balls and a strike. This ball is MLB Authenticated for all 13 pitches by Alexander to all five batters (Kemp, Canha, Lowrie, Laureano, and Chapman), including the singles by Kemp, Canha, and Lowrie — and the ball is also MLB Authenticated as being touched by seven Tigers (Alexander, Schoop, Baddoo, Jones, Goodrum, Nunez, and Castro). (Really, eight Tigers touched the ball when you consider that Ramos had to catch many of those pitches for Alexander.) The Athletics went on to win the game 8-4.
