MLB Authenticated - 13 Pitches/5 Batters/3 Hits/1 RBI - Tony Kemp (Single)/Mark Canha (Single)/Jed Lowrie (RBI Single - 6th Game in a Row with an RBI!)/Ramon Laureano (Ground Out)/Matt Chapman (Foul). Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On April 15, 2021, the Detroit Tigers visited the Oakland Athletics at RingCentral Coliseum. Both teams wore #42 in honor of Jackie Robinson. Tarik Skubal started for the Tigers, while Sean Manaea went for the A’s. In the bottom of the seventh, Tyler Alexander was on the mound. Tony Kemp led off. ALEXANDER HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 88.5 mph cutter, and KEMP BUNTED THIS BALL TO JONATHAN SCHOOP FOR A SINGLE!! Alexander got this ball back. Mark Canha walked to the plate. Alexander threw a four-seamer for a ball. (Yes, that means Wilson Ramos also touched this ball!) Alexander followed that with a cutter for a called strike. He then threw another four-seamer for a ball and an 89.9 mph sinker for a called strike. With his fifth pitch with this ball, Alexander threw a 91.4 mph four-seamer, and CANHA LACED THIS BALL INTO RIGHT CF FOR A SINGLE WHERE AKIL BADDOO GRABBED IT AFTER THE BALL DEFLECTED OFF JACOBY JONES. Kemp moved to third. Alexander got this ball back. Jed Lowrie came to bat. Alexander’s first pitch to Lowrie was a ball. On the second, Alexander threw four-seamer, and LOWRIE SMACKED THIS BALL 108.1 mph TO NIKO GOODRUM FOR AN RBI SINGLE SCORING KEMP — LOWRIE’S SIXTH GAME IN A ROW WITH AN RBI!! Alexander got this ball back again. Ramon Laureano was up. LAUREANO HIT THIS BALL TO RENATO NUNEZ WHO THREW OVER TO WILLI CASTRO ON A FIELDER’S CHOICE!! But wait, there’s more!! Alexander got this ball back AGAIN!! Matt Chapman came to bat. Alexander threw two balls and a strike. On the last pitch with this ball, he threw an 87.6 mph cutter, and CHAPMAN FOULED OFF THIS BALL!! This ball was finally retired. This ball is MLB Authenticated for all 13 pitches by Alexander to all five batters (Kemp, Canha, Lowrie, Laureano, and Chapman), including the singles by Kemp, Canha, and Lowrie — and the ball is also MLB Authenticated as being touched by seven Tigers (Alexander, Schoop, Baddoo, Jones, Goodrum, Nunez, and Castro). (Really, eight Tigers touched the ball when you consider that Ramos had to catch many of those pitches for Alexander.) The Athletics went on to win the game 8-4. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
