    Description

Knights Pythias Fraternal Sword with Scabbard. Ricasso is marked "The M.C. Lilley + Co" over "Columbus, Ohio." and on the reverse is the walking bear stamp which supposedly stands for Abraham Kuller Zu Wald. The grip is tight, the guard and pommel are a little loose. The chain connecting the pommel to the crossguard is missing.
    The grip shows some wear.
The blade has the name "Geo. A. Hanaford" on it, overall the blade is tight, unsharpened, a few minor nicks, it is mostly clean with a few age spots on the last 6", and there is a minor bend 1/4" up from the tip. The scabbard is solid with no dents/dings but the surface leather is almost completely gone exposing the metal underneath and it has surface rust throughout, also comes up 7/8" shy of going on all the way (there is rust in the scabbard). Washer is intact. Length of the blade measures 28" (11/16" wide x 3/16" thick spine), length of the sword is 35 1/2", and in the scabbard it is 38"
