SUPER RARE ITEM!! This is a Game Used Baseball from Yankee Stadium from Derek Jeter's final homestand as a New York Yankee and as a Major League Baseball Player.
In 2014, Jeter's final MLB Season, the Yankees used these commemorative Derek Jeter "Captain" Baseballs for home games during the final 2 1/2 weeks of his MLB career. They were ONLY used in-game and at Yankee Stadium.
This particular baseball comes from his 3rd to last game on 9/23/2014 vs. the Baltimore Orioles. The baseball was used as the final out of the 1st inning. Mark Teixeira was the hitter, Ubaldo Jimenez the pitcher. Teixeira lifted a fly ball to Alejandro de Aza. De Aza then tossed the ball to Orioles CF Adam Jones. Jones, as he was running in from the outfield tossed me the ball behind the Orioles dugout to where I was sitting in section 125. Jones always had an affinity towards Orioles fans, tossing them baseballs in the crowd. This baseball is that 3rd out.
As you can see, it has the Derek Jeter logo, overall in excellent condition. There is a slight smudge from where it appears Teixeira hit the ball. The ball is nice and mud-rubbed as well.
It is not MLB Authenticated as it went straight from Jimenez's hand to Teixeria's bat to De Aza's glove, to Jones's glove to my glove. Anyone who is familiar with me (Benny Bang Bang) and familiar with the ballhawking community knows who I am and can attest to the validity of this baseball. I have documented this baseball on the mygameballs website.
Comes with case as pictured. Has been protected away from lighting.
