CHRISTIAN YELICH *GREEN* MEMORIAL DAY GAME-USED BASEBALL 5/29/17 PHILLIES MARLIN

For sale is a truly unique collectable from the 2017 Memorial Day game between the Miami Marlins and the Philadelphia Phillies, won by Miami, 4-1.  This was the ONE and ONLY season that MLB used GREEN-laced baseball for every game played on Memorial Day across the USA and in Toronto as well.  As a result, these green MLB-authenticated balls are very scarce and highly sought-after by collectors.
This specific ball was pitched (4) times in the bottom of the 7th inning by Phillies pitcher Joely Rodriguez to 2018 MVP Christian Yelich.  Yelich would foul the 4th pitch off, and it would be removed from play and authenticated.   Yelich was 0/2 with a walk and a HBP in 4 plate appearances, so there is no 'higher' end green base-hit ball out there from this game.
Authenticated balls such as this are sent mid-game to sale to the public, and are sold by the team. The authentication is input by the on-site MLB authenticators, who apply the holograms and enter the details of the play.  Authentications can be verified through the MLB.com site.  This ball carries the hologram  JB626709.  I have attached a screen shot for your review of the MLB authentication serial number search result.
This spectacular ball has great coloration and character- truly a 1-of-a-kind item!  The auction will include a plastic ball cube, as well as a printout of the MLB authentication page.
