    Description

For sale is a lot of two antique fraternal or masonic swords.
Included is one FCB Pythians sword with a highly decorated blade made by Craddock Mercantile Co Kansas, MO. It does not say Kansas City. It was only shortly after 1850 that the "City" was added, so this seems to be quite an early sword. The sword bears the name C. Conner. Unfortunately, this sword is missing the hilt. The crossguard and decorated scabbard and blade itself are included. The blade is in excellent condition, aside from corrosion where the hilt would have been. Blade is 28" long, with an overall length of 35 inches.
The second sword is a Knighs of Columbus sword.  It has a knight symbolism on the pommel, the hilt is fabric with a pebbled leather and wire overlay (which has deteriorated) which may put it in the same time frame as the Pythians sword. The crossguard is very unique featuring angles riding fish. The blade has a heavy patina and chips along the edges. However, beneath that is some elaborate decoration, including Fleur-de-lis (commonly used in Freemasonry/Templar items), florals, and a lot of triangle shapes. There is no maker's mark.
Blade is 30 3/8" long, with an overall length of 37.5 inches.
